Major Objectives
BIET has been emphasizing on Centre for Research & Consultancy (CRC) in various areas of Engineering through:
R & D projects funded by the college or external agencies like DST, AICTE, UGC, DRDO, DRDL, DLRL etc
Research centers where research scholars pursue their Ph.D. degrees
Organizing International and national conferences, seminars and workshops funded by the college or external agencies like DST, AICTE, etc
Provide technical assistance to industries and user Organizations / Departments
Promote Research and develop appropriate Technology
Promote exchange programmes between Industries and the Institution
Establish testing/consultancy centres in various fields of Engineering
Procure state-of-the-art equipments required for Testing / Consultancy
Arrange for servicing / repairs of equipments to keep them in good condition
BIET Research Activities:
Our Research wing has signed an MoU with the Institute of Defense Scientists and Technologists, under the Ministry of Defense for carrying out various projects.
Time and Frequency differences of arrival based GEO locations techniques for Communication Signal emitters.
Technical Feasibility of Microsatellites in the Indian Scenario in collaboration with ISRO.
An optical Mach-Zehnder interferometer is setup which aims at initiating multi disciplinary research activity in the campus. This configuration is capable of measuring phase changes which reflect in the modulation of the interferogram. In the transmission mode, this equipment is capable of addressing issues related to transparent bio-materials. In the reflection mode it is capable of measuring displacements of the order of a few micro-meters which find application in the study of mechanical vibration problems.
