IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE, pronounced "Eye-triple-E," stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The association is chartered under this name and it is the full legal name.
BIET IEEE Student Branch
The IEEE student branch officially started in 2016 as BIET IEEE Student Branch. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) helps advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electrical and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. The main perspective of IEEE student branch at BIET is to make the students aware of various facilities and student development programs provided by IEEE. Here at BIET, we encourage the networking of undergraduate and postgraduate students with industry and academics.
BIET ACM CHAPTER
ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. ACM provides the computing field’s premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources.
BIET ACM Student Chapter
The BIET Hyderabad Student Chapter of the ACM was established in 2016 to address the needs of the BIET Hyderabad computing community. Goal of the chapter is to create interest among the students for computer science apart from what they learn during the course work. The chapter organizes talks and workshops on different subjects by speakers who are well known in their area. These talks give students opportunities to learn about advanced research subjects. Apart from these, some non-technical activities are also organized.
BIET ISTE CHAPTER
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into Indian Society for Technical Education in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education in the country.
BIET ISTE Student Chapter
ISTE STUDENT CHAPTER was established at Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology on 2017. The Chapter started with 522 student members and continued till date with all the student members as registered members. BIET encourages the students equally to become a member and take advantage of the various benefits of the Chapter. Every year the ISTE Student chapter of BIET conducts various events such as expert lectures, workshops, seminars, Industrial visits, etc. to assist staff and students for updating their technical knowledge.
The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first shown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.

BIET Student Branch of Computer Society of India (BIET-CSI) started in the year 2016 with a group of IT and CSE students who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the BIET CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for Student professionals in BIET. The purposes of the BIET-CSI are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.
BIET IEI CHAPTER
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology, established in 1920 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. It is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers encompassing 15 (fifteen) engineering disciplines with a membership of more than 820 thousand, and serving the nation for more than 9 decades. The IEI has its headquarters located in Kolkata with national presence through more than hundred Centres and several Overseas Chapters, Foras and Organ.
BIET IEI Student Chapter Inauguration
Department of Mechanical Engineering has inaugurated Institution of Engineers (India) student chapter on 19th September 2018 at Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology. On this occasion, ID cards for student members were distributed. Appreciation certificates were awarded for Engineers Day competitions winners.
SAP EDUCATION PARTNER and BIET along with SAP India are willing to jointly establish a strategic relationship, where parties shall work together in number of ways for setting-up of an on-campus training center at BIET’s campus (“On-Campus Training Centre”) in order to provide SAP Consultant Courses to the students of BIET.
This exposure and education will give students a competitive hiring advantage while giving employers access to well prepared graduates, skilled in the latest concepts & tools. It is important to note that the program is a training program for SAP software. The Alliance will also strengthen research in Enterprise Integration. SAP (ABAP/MM/FI/SD/HR) Train the Trainer programme for BIET Faculty commenced from 3rd July 2017 and the duration of the training programme is for 30 days. 34 faculty from various departments of BIET are attending this SAP training.Resource Person is Mr.A. V. KRISHNA,SAP Corporate Trainer. SAP Training is being organized by BIET Placements department in collaboration with SAP-IPA EDUCATION PARTNER AT BIET .

Hyderabad's leading Biogas plant supplier M/s Peepal Renewables India Private Limited Company signed an MOU with Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology on 20th July 2016. Based on this MOU Dr. Hafeez Basha, Professor, EEE Department was appointed as Technical Consultant to Peepal and three B. Tech final year students started their live project at Peepal on the same day.
