SAFETY & SECURITY

Surveillance cameras are installed in the campus for monitoring students’ movements into and out of the college. The security personnel are deployed across the college premises for any kind of security incidents/issues and offers strict vigilance. Helmets are made mandatory to enter/leave college campus Anti-ragging committee will ensure that campus is free of ragging. The antiragging squad regularly monitors at scheduled timings in different places to make the campus ragging-free. The college also has anti-sexual harassment committee to address issues if any.

Fire extinguishers are available in all labs and corridors. Regular check on fire extinguishers is taken care by administration department. Mock drills are conducted at regular intervals to create awareness of fire & safety.

Ambulance service is an integral part of Emergency department. We have a college ambulance & drivers always available during college hours with the necessary facilities .

Counselling

Counseling is arranged by the college for girl students in three major areas i.e. Counseling related to academics, career and behavioral patterns. One faculty member is allotted as a counselor for 20 students. Faculty calls the parent and discusses the academic progress of the ward. Students should meet the counselor once in 15 days. Parents of the students are timely informed wherever the necessity arises such as lack of attendance and poor academic performance.

Common Rooms

Separate Common rooms are provided for boys and girls. Rooms are provided with necessary facilities like first aid box, rest room, cots, beds, mirror, chair, table, washbasin, dustbin, etc. Facilities are created to cater to health and hygiene related issues typical to the gender.

Child care is a critical resource to alleviate some of the stress of caretaking, and ease the strain of juggling competing priorities and obligations. It is one of the most effective ways that colleges can help their employees in completing their work without being worried about their child’s welfare. BIET provides an on-campus care center which is much less affordable and high in quality. Over the years, BIET has maintained the day care with essential products and services. Many faculties in the campus have used this resource of BIET Day Care Centre.
